The 100% independent Butterz Records remains at the helm of London’s underground grime output, with creators Elijah & Skilliam continuing to be the scene’s truest advocates and most avid supporters at a time when the Dizzee Rascal’s of this world have moved-on from their grime roots to pursue pop careers.
Through Butterz, what’s still undoubtedly one of the most exciting British, if not uniquely London born and bread genres is still alive and flourishing, with talented producers such as Terror Danjah, S-X and TRC turning to the imprint as an outlet for their more thought-out, in many cases beautifully produced strands of grime, proving the scene runs deeper than many of its haters would care to admit.
After huge underground smashes featuring the likes of P Money, a coveted Rinse FM residency and Europe wide showcases from Fabriclive and beyond, FOUND is hyped to welcome the label to the series, as Elijah & Skilliam, Terror Danjah, Swindle, Royal-T and TRC are joined by special guest Zed Bias and legendary grime MC, Trim.
