High on inspiration from a trip to the hallowed White Isle, they started wholly illegal but massively attended raves in their Headingly basement. Since the po-pos put paid to that, there have been nights at Back to Basics, in Ibiza, and an impressive run of unique Bank Holiday events in London, bringing debutants to the city more than once. Now a much respected crew of party yahoos, the Ketoloco crew are returning to Leeds, to the city where it all began. The venue is the revived Warehouse, the date is October 29th, the theme will be Halloween. Music, importantly, will come from Solomun, David August, Jef K and jozif, as well as the reliable Ketoloco residents. Headliner Solomun is a rare commodity in 2011 - a DJ and producer very much with his own identity. So much so, in fact, his Diynamic label (now on its 50th release) has singlehandedly put Hamburg house on the map, as well as helping to carve out careers for the likes of Stimming and H.O.S.H. Expect the man to play looped, tech-y house with weirded-out and idiosyncratic percussive detail, real instrumentation and all in a variety of shades from deep to jacking. Joining him will be one of his many prodigies and close label associate David August, who’s own bespoke productions have won him fans and plaudits alike in recent times. Meanwhile, something special is going down in room two… aka the cosier upstairs Loft space…. Namely a tribute to the 32 years The Warehouse has been in existence. As such, jozif is doing an early disco set and Jef K is digging out his finest 90's deep house, whilst the rest of the guys will be spinning acid house and Balearic beats. Jef K, as boss of Silver Network, is responsible for unleashing the deepest and dustiest deep house out there, including one of the tracks of 2010 – In My System – which he produced alongside Chez Damier & Chris Carrier as The Gathering, and his Loft cohort for the evening, jozif, is a Wolf + lamb sensation. The London producer’s disco flecked sounds are as musical as they come, with beautiful chords littering his spacious, slo-mo beats and taking him from Fabric, London, to WMC, to just about every decent club in the world. A genuine underground sensation Ketoloco is the night you need in your life during the long cold autumn eves… trust me, it will warm your soul…
