A Mad Classic Fuss... feat Âme, Trickski, Justin Martin

  • Mad Racket, Future Classic & Minimal Fuss are collaborating with German cultural organisation the Goethe Institute to bring out two of Germany’s most innovative DJ/producer teams and one of the US’s most exciting DJ talents. Alongside these three highly respected internationals will be the talents of the three local collectives, each bringing their unique qualities together for the first time. Delivering constant quality with music that is rocking house, techno and freestyle floors alike, it appears Âme (pronounced 'Ahm', French for 'soul') have developed a new consensus for modern club music. From their infamous 'REJ' to their tasteful and intelligently constructed remixes they have gained attention on a global scale. Some even say they initiated the renaissance of deep house with their productions and label Innervisions, now the leading light in the German underground. Based in Berlin but proud of their Black Forest backgrounds, DJ’s Yannick Labbe and Daniel Becker aka Trickski (Member of the Trick/Sonar Kollektiv) break new ground. Their wild mixture of Chicago and Detroit tunes, almost forgotten dance anthems and upfront house creates a unique party vibe. With their first couple of releases in 2005 Trickski quickly won the respect of big names such as Gilles Peterson, Mark Pritchard, Carl Craig, Peter Kruder and Jazzanova. Justin Martin (Dirtybird/Buzzin’ Fly) has been hailed as a truly unique DJ, creating a niche of his own with a tough yet melodic sound which has helped fashion the grooves of Claude VonStroke’s Dirty Bird records. Ben Watt (of Everything but the Girl fame) was blown away by Justin‘s sets, saying he was “probably the most unique and talented DJ I’ve heard in the last year” immediately signing Justin to do a mix for his own Buzzin’ Fly label. Justin Martin represents and brings the true sounds of underground San Francisco. Add Sydney’s finest DJs and the combined experience of these three promoters... having previously hosted international guests including Jamie Lidell, Matthew Herbert, Ewan Pearson, Ben Watt, Tiefschwarz, MANDY, Damian Lazarus, Fat Freddys Drop, Alice Russell, Jazzanova, Theo Parrish, Charles Webster, Kyoto Jazz Massive, Recloose to name just a few... and you begin to see that this is set to be one of the parties of the year!
