PATTRIX Mutant On a Mission Pattrix moved to London in 1999, seeking new musical experiences. His move to London and his collaborations with Dave the Drummer on Hydraulix and Apex Records marked a decisive turning point on his journey... With the birth of Mutate to Survive in 2007, Pattrix and Henry Cullen spread their wings musically and mutated themselves with a more minimal/stripped down and experimental sound, but still techno. Pattrix finally founded a platform for his idea of techno music, allowing to write and steer the label in it's weird and wonderful direction. His strong appearances on the London warehouse parties fuelled his open minded approach as both DJ and producer. Mutate to survive is a product of those long week-ends combining the peak hours feel and the after party state of mind. Varying between awareness and thoughtlessness. For Pattrix, running his own label gives him the chance to release music by other artists and remixes such as "Souvenir" which was remixed by one of France's original techno pioneer, Scan X. Pattrix also had the track "A Beautiful Woman" placed on Oliver Huntemann's mix CD "PLAY!03" which was recorded Live in NYC. In addition to his own tracks Pattrix has also co-produced a Mutate to Survive remix for Eukatech records of the track called "Coalix" by Nils Hess and Henry Cullen, "U,U,U" on Techsound recordings.[ RM05 ] and a remix [ RM07 ] of room 10 on Retrometro co-produced with Phiorio, as well as many others With his "spur of the moment" story telling DJ style, Pattrix builds his sets up and down, not committed to one tone or mood only but creating a rich diversity in mind of emotions while clearly directing the vibe towards the techno floor. NAX_ACID NAX_Acid aka Andrea Ruffino, born in 1982, started playing electronic music when he was 17, after hearing classic early Aphex Twin albums. Since then he started collecting vinyl and playing every kind of electronic music from hardcore to electro, from drum & bass to techno. In 2004 he started making deep minimal, acid and Detroit techno influenced tracks. In 2005 moved to London from his native Italy and started to work for ‘disappear here’ record label (Kompakt) started by Chris Spero and Antony Sergeant. His first release in December 2006, “Friends & Crocodiles” which was well received on the underground London techno scene. Since 2007 he has started to put together his own label project called Aconito Records. "The label is a sonic experiment with techno, minimal and with ambient and electronica, to create a new atmospheric techno voyage, which also works on the dance floor". MAXX DJ/producer Maxx, originally from Italy, is the owner and creator of Polymeric Records. and runs together with Rene Reiter the acclaimed label Carbon Audio, based in Austria. He is recently gaining the respect and support of DJ's like Richie Hawtin, Claude VonStroke, Chris Liberator, Patrick DSP, Karl Cullen, Matt K, Lars Klein, 3Phazegenerator, Aaron Liberator, DJ Misjah, just to mention a few now playing his tracks at their gigs! Maxx is well known at London Techno parties for his broad taste in Techno from minimal to funky to acid, to a more hard, raw edged sound, with rolling bass lines. His label launched in 2006 and has had six very successful releases featuring tracks from DJ Ogi, Chris Liberator, Sterling Moss, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Jeff Amadeus, Ignition Technician, Concrete DJz, Pounding Grooves, 3Phazegenerator, Rene Reiter, Albert Kraner and M3ld. His inspiration largely comes from his love for the London techno scene having played at many of the free parties for Underground Sound, E1S, Manik, and Malfaiteurs sound systems in and around London, and clubs and technivals in UK, France, Spain, Germany, Austria, Croatia, Poland and Italy, alongside Marco Lenzi, Aaron, Julian and Chris Liberator, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Sven Wittekind, Ignition Technician, Pounding Grooves, Sterling Moss, Boris S, Jerome Hill, DDR, Dj Zebedee and Boy George to name a few! Maxx has been resident DJ for Koncrete, Tekslaves and On-Set parties in London, playing at many of the best techno venues in the city, like The Fridge, The Mass, Brixton Jamm, The Rhythm Factory, Club 414, Club Babalou and many more. DJBIRINIGHT BIRI AKA DJBIRINIGHT is a natural born musician from Portugal with a gift for making noise, and being social! After a lifetime playing various instruments, he discovered electronic music in May 1996, and raved most of the weekends away in Portugal, as well as making outdoor parties(in the process he meet Spiral Tribe in Portugal plus others each one he regrets losing contact at the time for life reasons). He then decided to go to London, and slowly got involved in the UK dance scene. Its now 16 years that he has toiled behind the decks as a DJ, and has recently started to have fun, producing a few tracks.
