James Holden returns to Copenhagen for his second gig at Dunkel, this time together with Luke Abbott as a part of a label night for the infamous and innovative record label Border Community, run by James Holden himself.
Last year, Holden held Dunkel on its pumps for four hours straight with a nose bleeding set featuring God-like techno tunes. Everything was boiling, and so it will happen again this time.
Releasing the critically acclaimed 'Holkham Drones' in 2010, Luke Abbott positioned himself as one of the brightest techno hopes for the future, at the mere age of 25. Abbott creates subtle, patience requiring electronica that rewards the patient listener tenfold with impressive techno waves, that leaves permanent scares. After a year away, touring the world, Luke Abbott returns to the darkened club with his adventurous live set.
The local scene is represented by one of the most interesting and aspiring electronic acts Denmark has to offer right now.Together as Averos, Natal Zaks and Theodor Clausen creates emotive techno and electronica, featuring athmospheric guitar riffs, intelligent beats and wild vocal samples. As Denmark's "one to watch", they share a sound together with Apparat and Four Tet when at their best.
The line up will be rounded up with hot shot producer Taragana Pyjarama and Copenhagen DJ Morten Bruhn, whom together will create a DJ set suitable for this amazing line up, featuring the best of electronic music to be heard.
