Carpe Diem is the brain child of Davy Kidd and Wayne Cuddy (The Evil Amigos) who own the established and successful record label Carpe Diem Musica. The label has produced some excellent original records and remixes to date. The Evil Amigos, set to DJ on the night, have had tracks recently included in sets by techno giant Richie Hawtin. In addition they have appeared numerous times at Sankeys and played alongside many big name DJs including Nic Fanciulli, Danny Serrano, Guy Gerber, Steve Lawler, Shlomi Aber, Reset Robot and Spektre.
Headlining Carpe Diem is none other than Jemmy, who needs no introduction if you know your music. Jemmy has played alongside many major names in the industry such as Derrick Carter, Sasha & Digweed, Danny Tenaglia, Timo Maas and Guy Gerber to name but a few. He has earned an excellent reputation for only playing cool underground house and is set to blow the roof off Zanzibar this bonfire night. He has had residencies in Cream Ibiza and knows his music so well hes made a day career out of it working in Liverpools 3B on Slater Street.
Also playing on the night is Carl Dunne who has built a reputation by working alongside Guy Gerber, Silicone Soul, Superflu, James Ruskin & Audiojack (to name a few) and gone from strength to strength by appearances at some top nights including mUmU, Aztec and Voodoo. His deep vibe fits in well with the night and his DJ presence will be an excellent addition to the exciting line-up of the first Carpe Diem.
