Burleskimo:
Deep in Sheffield’s natural amphitheatre, between an arena of hills, Burleskimo was born spitting and singing into the world. The fledgling Hip Hop act combined the multifarious features of its parents. The five of whom are: Copius; producing beatz and rhymes to rival any of his contemporaries across the border; Unome, the Human Beatbox and drum machine; Mark Villholm, the guitarist with the fastest hands in the South (of Yorkshire); Edward Chester with not a 4 but a 5 string bass in your face; and Louise Gold with her vocal chords of Steel.
Since being signed to Sheffield’s very own Itchy Pig Records, they have seen the release of their 4 track ep and have various gigs planned for the near future. They are also about to film their new video and also a new album over the coming months. Big things are coming your way and they are known as Burleskimo.
Sir Vinyl Instinct
This guy is known more for his label and productions rather than his DJ skills - however this is surely set to change. The brains behind Itchy Pig Records, he has worked with some of the greatest names around. His releases are respected for being hard to pigeonhole into genres; and rather than take on various monikers for his different styles, he prefers to create them all around the one name. Having being recently asked to produce Americas very own Eduardo Pratti’s new album while also working on his new album, we were delighted when he agreed to come along and play an eclectic selection suitable for our new venue.
Fradaja
One of Sheffield’s best kept secrets, Fradaja has played a fine selection at some of the greatest gatherings around such as Lights Down Low – we can guarantee that you will not be disappointed. Known for his floor orientated vinyl, he will not disappoint. Groove is the centre at which he was born upon.
RP Renz (FroZac)
FroZac are a Sheffield based night organised by Trific, Tom Goose and of course, RP Renz.
Riddimtion
Due to popular demand, Riddimtion return to Hagglers corner for another session!
We proudly present a Bun Fiya Nite special, and you can be sure that Riddimtion Friends and Family will be turning up the heat, with a mixture of Roots, Ragga, Dancehall and Rub-a-Dub.
We have Special Live P.A, featuring Sista Danae & Soul Deep (f.k.a Kid One). Expect fresh riddims and Homegrown Productions...
Outta Leeds, we have our good and long term friend Divine Shakras from Pacifist Conquest. We had a friendly clash with him in our local pub The Cremorne this summer, and he really brought the vibes!
Speaking of the Cremorne, you must know that there will be a FREE Riddimtion pre-bar there from 8pm - 1am, where you can warm up for the main event.
