Hello again people, it's been a while! We hope you've missed us like we've missed you.. it seems like many a moon ago that we hosted our last nofitstate event In July as an unofficial carry on to the excellent Lovebox festival. Since then Newspapers have fallen, Colonels have been toppled, London has gone up in flames and iconic crooners have passed on..
Now that we're coming up to the tail end of the year our minds have been firmly on the task of setting up a party to remember on the first day of 2012 and what better way to kick off the New Year than with one of the most exciting talents to break through this year – Julio Bashmore. In such a short space of time Julio has really made a mark on the scene with his appropriately titled ep ‘Everybody Needs an Anthem’ giving the world the larger than life ‘Battle for Middle You’ – a track that crossed the often fragmented dance music boundaries and which hailed the dawning of a true talent.
Julio is ably supported by man who has been one of the most consistently excellent electronic music producers around - Move D. Hailing from Germany, D has had a busy 2011 with dj dates all over the world while still managing to squeeze out the excellent Hydrophonics EP on Uzuri as well as the superb untitled ep on Workshop that surprisingly, for some, managed to find a place as the opening track on Sven Vath's Ibiza Cocoon CD for this year
Move D will be more than ably supported by Geddes, having also had a rip-roaring 2011 - production has been a key feature for him this year and has confirmed releases on Poker Flat due in 2012 as well as fresh material on his own murmur label. To strengthen the murmur theme the label's latest signing, Hamid, is on hand to provide warm up duties in room 1. nofistate stalwarts Bad Passion Project will be hosting room 2.
As ever the location of our little soiree will remain a closely guarded secret right up until it's party time, needless to say the venue is excellent and perfect for the intimate vibe that our parties have been known for - as always we'll be bringing our tightly honed production skills to make sure the venue is set up perfectly both visually and acoustically. We hope to see you down the front..
