La Cheetah is two this year and to celebrate we would like to invite you all to help us blow out those two candles.
To kick off part two of the birthday celebrations we have invited German DJ and producer Alex Cortex who will perform live on the night. Alex is a man who is known for his ability to turn his hand to a variety styles whilst always maintaining his own distinct sound and a man who never lets his output quality drop. After announcing his indefinite retirement from music at the end of 2009 we are over the moon that he will praise the La Cheetah booth with a rare live performance!
Back in Oct 2009 Alex stated:
"I usually embrace constructive criticism, but some opinions there have been just very negative. That reflects pretty much how I feel about this scene: lots of negativity,” the German producer wrote. “I never pretended to be the best at anything or to have invented anything, never created a buzz around me, just have been doing my thing and that for quite a while now. Some opinions clearly show that many people don’t have a clue how hard it is to survive in the music business, or they speak from some very comfortable position."

Alex is no stranger to Glasgow with releases on Glasgow based labels Wireblock and MNX recordings. It is only fitting then that we have left the rest of the nights selections to be decided by Dan Monox and The Wasp.
