Looking back through 2011, there isn’t too much to write about the Ifdiota project itself, but more so the key members who have been involved through the years with the results starting to speak for themselves! Seminal member and founder Yarda finds himself busier than ever with the running of the fantastic Shoreditch space, The Red Gallery. A project which has taken little under a year and a half to cement itself amongst East London’s cultural circles and proving to be one of the most cultivating spaces there’s been for years! Where we see pop up spaces come and go in a flash, The Red Gallery shows no signs of falling by the way side. With some fresh ideas in place for the New Year The Red Gallery only stands to further enhance it’s ever growing status. Sandeman & Mr Dickie have grown from strength to strength through the years and now with the talented American Corey Baker they have established their new production/ dj outfit Wildkats. Smashing parties globally and hitting the dizzy heights in the charts with their latest release Perpetrating on Hot Waves, the future looks very bright for these young Kats! Having teamed up with Crosstown Rebels’ Russ Yallop for their next release forthcoming on Hot Creations, 2012 looks to be a very interesting year indeed! Antonio Colantuoni (aka Tboy) over the last year has done what he knows best and submerged himself in the studio to create and mould a sound which has proven to be a big hit. From his collaboration with Wildkats on Neim Records, his solo project with Hourglass and a future release due early next year on Miguel Campbell’s Outcross label, things are looking up for the hard working Tboy! Now to the lady of Ifidota, Charlotte Michelle 11th, who herself has done like the rest and honed in on her production skills. Not content with just her musical talents though she has also been working hard in the fashion world creating her new label ‘Eleven’. Look out for this one in 2012! So, with the formalities out the way, this year Ifidota has decided to celebrate Christmas (coincidentally also as Yarda’s birthday!) with some friends new and old. Barcelona based record label Hourglass and Turin/ London based label Goodvibe records. Representing both of them from their native cities we have hot prospect, Miguel Puente and the new project Death House Squad – Hugo and Sammy. Hailing from Leicester we also invite another gem in the form of Rebel. Hourglass – has a motivation for the constant research of old and new talent located between house and electronic music. A platform for the artist’s personal interpretation of modern dance music with an aim to focus mainly on the musical output. The label releases 12"s across different genres from artists all over the world. First release – Wildkats – Tunnel Vision EP. The other dj’s involved on the night will be East London’s up and coming djs Maik Yells and Stefano Riva. Visuals as ever will come in the form of Analogue Purea VJ - Martin Fischer. With promotions by the lovely Catherine Gates … VIP cocktail bar by Damian Williams … Professional photo booth curated by GoodMoodz. And live portraits by Paul Sakoilsky.
