Tim Sweeney is renowned for his weekly radio show in NYC - "Beats in Space". Since moving Beats in Space over to the FM frequency and transmitting online via streams and podcasts at Beatsinspace.net, Sweeney has attracted a strong international following for the diverse range of artists and styles portrayed on the two-and-a-half hour program. In addition to Beats in Space, Sweeney has recently been dipping his toes in the production world releasing The Flying Squad’s “Trip 1 and 2†on the Philadelphia-based RVNG label, where he teamed up with good friend and past boss Tim Goldsworthy from DFA records.
Sidwho? has enjoyed success with his debut 12" on UK imprint The Walls Have Ears with the disco-rock-romper "Vote Bowie For President". Championed by Tim Sweeney's Beats In Space and Todd Terje, Prins Thomas went one better - naming it his favourite track of the year. Encouraged to pursue his passion for making disco records, Sidwho? has put out "I Do the Night" and "Pay for Love" on Australian label Future Classic, with more releases on the way this year.
