- ERRATIC 05: presenting DADUB 4 HOUR LIVE SET (North American Debut) at National Underground – 159 E HOUSTON ST (b/w Eldridge & Allen) 10:00pm - 6:00am, 21+ (No entry after 4am) Pricing: $10 before midnight, $15 after with RSVP Email [email protected] with names of all guests Arrive early to ensure entry On Friday, January 13th, Erratic is supremely honored to host pivotal member of the Stroboscopic Artefacts sound and label, DADUB. This duo, comprised by Daniele Antezza and Giovanni Conti, has managed to achieve in 24 months monumental recognition both as abstract, modern Techno producers and also mastering engineers of SA (recently voted top #6 label of 2011 by Resident Advisor’s music critics). Dani and Gio come from Italy (same as SA’s label head Lucy) and started to collaborate together in 2009 after moving to Berlin and becoming part of the SA family. Their sound is focused on the experimental blending of ambient, dub, and techno characterized sonically by “strong grooves, deep basslines and complex sound textures, creating perceptive experiences in the listener aiming to give a human touch of imperfection.” So far, they have released the Monad VIII series EP (SA008) and the Universe/Metropolis EP (SA009), along with Pfirter, on Stroboscopic, both projects detailing the dark, lofty, ethereal sounds that fit mathematically within SA’s forward-sounding vision. Additionally, DADUB released its second contribution, Backward Forward, on Aquietbump (Aqbmp028) earlier this year, a net-label based in southern Italy launched in 2005, tantalizing the listener with “a deep journey inside dilated frequencies and heartbeats –astonishing conscious.” This will be DADUB’s only and exclusive appearance ever in North America and we are extremely fortunate to have them as Erratic’s 1st act of 2012. This event will unfold at the completely-remodeled –basement– of National Underground in the LES of Manhattan, where the audience will embark on a 4-HOUR LIVE set encompassing all of the above, and more.
