After the monster party that was our 3rd Birthday in September Compakt is back with a festive shindig. In the main room we are very pleased to play host to Clutch Slip and Neil Templar providing their own brand of quality techno.
Clutch Slip (aka Twandy and Leon Watson) have been writing music together since November 2010. After promoting events together for around 7 years they finally found themselves on the same page musically and decided to commit to trying to put a string of releases together. After spending a few weeks holed up in 'The Techno Kitchen' they had the first of their tracks finished. Since then they have had releases on Unter Null, Midimal Recordings and Gobsmacked. The next step on the ladder is the imminent launch of their record label 'Clutch Trax'.
Neil Templar is a mainstay of the Edinburgh techno scene and was resident/founder/promoter at Edinburgh’s legendary DOGMA, during which time he played alongside many techno legends such as Speedy J, Surgeon, Green Velvet,Chris Liebing, The Horrorist, the list goes on… You can expect dark, raw, minimal moodiness with attitude. Main room support from our irreplaceable residents Bruno FK and DD.
The second room will be a haven for all manner of dirty bassline and electro. Providing the heavy beats will be Maestro, resident at Dirt. We'll also have Glasgow production/DJ duo Stereo Vandals. Support comes from the illustrious DJ Phrase.
