Continuing our policy of bringing only the best and most innovative artists in modern techno to Glasgow, CODE are proud to announce LUCY as our next guest on January 21st, 2012.
Producer, in demand DJ and founder of Stroboscopic Artefacts (that’s probably how you know him) but he is also Luca Mortellaro; a published author, experimental sound designer and the man behind the Lucy moniker. Lucy’s label, Stroboscopic Artefacts, a platform for pioneering electronic music, has garnered international attention and emerged as one of the most exciting labels in the scene.
In 2011, Lucy released his debut album “Wordplay for Working Bees” on Stroboscopic Artefacts and also released a host of EPs and remixes on the most influential labels such as Prologue, Mote Evolver and CLR.
Lucy’s DJ sets are techno layered with deep dub. Never one to shy away from ripping into the peak time, elegance is the foundation of his approach. He manages to eschew the obvious and satisfy the dancefloor’s appetite for the unexpected. It’s this quality that’s seen him rocking clubs like Berghain, Fabric, New York’s Oktave Party and Mexico’s Bar America. Support from CODE resident Nick M.
