Often reluctant to describe the sound of his DJ sets, Prins Thomas’ style is referenced as being space disco though would be better described as a mélange of disco, house, minimal techno, electro, Krautrock, jazz fusion and space rock. In other words, there is no stopping Prins Thomas.
In addition to his DJing and original productions Thomas is one of the most in demand remixers in electronic music today with glorious reworkings of LCD Soundsystem, Chemical Brothers, Doves & DJ Harvey under his belt to name just a few.
As you can see Prins Thomas has all the right ingredients one looks for in a DJ: great skills, humbleness, productions and remixes other people would kill for and most of all, the ability to play records in a way that makes people dance. And have we mentioned his beard, yet?
