The party series THE DRIFTER by local raising institution RIFF announces the drop of a new meteor, expected to hit the home-bred quietness on February the 10th 2012.
Jokes a part, the extraordinary phenomena has the shape of a big Saxon. Jan-Till Lütdke aka Till Von Sein, hailing from Kiel, where he grew up in the 90ties devouring roots of street culture and urban music, found his home in Berlin since 2006, an ideal place to mature as house music producer and refine even further his already well-trained dj skills.
After releasing EPs and remixes on a buch a well known labels such as Morris/Audio, Supplement Facts, Dirt Crew Recordings, Moodmusic, Ministry of Sound and Plastic City, it`s time for us to celebrate the launch of his debut album, #LTD, which saw the light last October on the fast-growing Suol imprint.
#LTD is the first milestone of Till`s career, a showcase of feelings, emotions and influences rather than outstanding production skills and technicalities. It`s a collection of different music facets, ranging from the analogue acid-jacking romance of `Non-existant Love`, to the motor city grimy down-tempo of Neptune, through the Berlin-fashioned crispy house of Blueprint featuring Fritz Kalkbrenner on the lyrics.
The stylistic approach to the album is indeed fully reflecting Till Von Sein`s dj esthetic, cause our man, more than anything else, is an outstanding disc jockey, challenging and experimental in merging house music with Pop, R&B and Hip Hop breaks, yet never breaking the flow, holding you tight to the dance-floor, to dream he is leading you into…
Opening to Till we`ll have local cousins Nic2Birilli, resident dj at Mantova`s infamous Moxa, and sound engineer P.a.t.t.. Together they are gonna perform live their solid disco-funk jams, dynamic floor burners full of twisted bass lines, chasing hi-hats and fat drums patterns.
Resident dj, to represent the eclectic nature of RIFF, will be Visti aka Marco Febbraro, gold-mine of dance music knowledge, always ready to surprise us.
