Paco Osuna’s Mindshake Label Showcase Returns to the 2012 Miami Winter Music Conference
Miami Beach, FL – Mindshake, the brainchild and creative outlet of famed Spanish DJ/Producer Paco Osuna, continues to deliver on its promise to develop the most innovative of artists while providing the world with a first-class experience in contemporary electronic music culture with an exclusive line-up for its Label Showcase Event at the 2012 Miami Winter Music Conference.
The event takes place Tuesday, March 20and will feature Paco Osuna back-to-back with Barem, Carlo Lio, Kabale und Liebe and Lorenzo Bartoletti. Co-hosted by ‘Link Presents’, a prominent Miami promotions outfit, the Mindshake Label Showcase premieres at one of Miam’s hottest new locations in Miami Beach, Tree House (www.treehousemiami.com).
The internationally globe-trotting DJ, producer and label head Paco Osuna shares center stage with a special back-to-back set with new Mindshake artist Barem. Paco and Barem's back-to- back sets have gained acclaim after first doing so during Sonar week last Summer, Closing Weekend in Ibiza, and more recently in Madrid for a Day One Festival After-Party on January 1st. The duo’s chemistry needs to be witnessed first hand and this will be a North American exclusive.
In addition to cultivating the Mindshake family, Osuna continues to find time between his hectic DJ schedule to release and remix on labels such as M_nus, Spectral Sound, 100% Pure, Plus 8 and many more. Argentine and M_nus recording artist, Barem just released a heavily charted remix on MINDSHAKE016, making his premiere for the label.
Canadian Carlo Lio is the only Mindshake artist other than Paco to return to the line-up after last year’s Miamis Showcase at Shine. Lio’s signature style is driven by a relentless, sexy, deep, pulsing, techy groove that is backed by flawless and imaginative mixing and mind-blowing programming, elements that can also be found in his productions for Mindshake and his own Rawthentic Music label.
Adding to the international scope of the lineup is Amsterdam’s Kabale und Liebe, aka Liron van Daalen, who was featured at Mindshake's Movement Afterparty in Detroit last May and has a forthcoming Remix on Mindshake Records due to be announced soon. Kabale und Liebe’s DJ set is highly-anticipated as he rarely plays in the US market. Blending the old with the new and the minimalistic with the soulful, Kabale und Liebe has created a sound that appeals to technofreaks and househeads alike, his growing popularity marking a new era of approach between the two scenes.
Rounding out the lineup is Italian tastemaker, DJ and Producer, Lorenzo Bartoletti, a fresh young face for the label and a burgeoning star. He recently debuted on Mindshake with his ‘Safe & Sound EP’ in December and the track ‘Absolutely’ on the VA ‘Forward Part II’ release. Lorenzo will be landing in Miami on the heels of a short US Tour with labelmate Dela.
