  • JESSE ROSE https://www.facebook.com/pages/JESSE-ROSE-OFFICIAL-PAGE/195556737190 A true pioneer, Jesse Rose is responsible for twisting the template of house music as we know it. Be it through his genre bending productions, DJ performances across the planet, remixing some of the biggest acts around (Major Lazer, Hotchip, Metronomy, Underworld, Simian Mobile Disco et al.), or as a label boss A&Ring the freshest talent in electronic music, Jesse has one of the most revered profiles in the scene. Born at the tail end of the 1970s in Londons Ladbroke Grove, as a boy Jesse was raised on a healthy dose of Motown soul, jazz and eighties funk. From humble beginnings, and with solid determination, Jesse began making music at the tender age of 14. Moving to Bristol in the early 90s, he was soon DJing and running club nights together with his close friend Jamie Anderson, and quickly earned a reputation as an up and coming talent. By 1997, Jesse moved back to London, subsequently meeting the man that would truly change him from DJ to producer: Dave Switch Taylor. Their first collaborations caught the eye of key Chicago house producer Derrick Carter, leading to a string of releases on his Classic label. Jesses work on Switchs Dubsided saw the development of the house genre by mixing & dropping sounds from other genres instead of mere looping, resulting in some of his biggest hits such as A-Sided, Youre All Over My Head and Touch My Horn. Jesse learnt his craft as a DJ cutting his teeth with regular slots at London super club Fabric. The year 2000 marked the inception of Jesses first label, Front Room Recordings, which has featured some of the most prominent names in dance music such as Henrik Schwarz & Solid Groove, and continues to present itself as a key house music label. His second label Made to Play, conceived in 2005, has turned into a powerhouse for unearthing and nurturing new talent, churning out hit records like Riva Starrs I was drunk and making stars out of its artists. Jesse fashioned a distinct Balkan-style sub-genre of house adopted as the defining sound of Made to Play, influencing the likes of Yolada be Cool. Jesse brought this trademark off-kilter house sound to Berlin and beyond with global residencies at Panorama Bar (Berlin) The Social Club (Paris), Hive (Zurich), XOYO (London), Avalon (Los Angeles) and Womb (Tokyo), as well as to thousands of revelers at leading festivals around the world such as Creamfields, Parklife, Exit and Melt. Jesses production prowess saw him produce Hot Chip in 2010 for their single entitled Build a House, the first ever production not tailored by the band themselves. 2010 also saw Jesse launch his third imprint; Play it Down, which despite its no press approach has already had countless Beatport top tens solely based on the merit of the music. Following the staggering popularity last summer of Jesse and Henrik Schwarzs live tour project; Black Rose, a return assault is planned on the major festival circuit for summer 2012. The first Black Rose EP, aptly titled Anthem also dropped early 2011 and received Radio Ones Essential New Tune accolade. OLIVER $ http://www.facebook.com/pages/Oliver-/313827017207 The past 3 years have seen Oliver$s name gradually build to a recognizable staple in house music. This Berlin born and based producer has gained acknowledgment through a series of solid releases on labels such as Made To Play, Grand Petrol and Front Room Recordings. Remix credits can be found amongst the most famed independents; including Greco Roman, Rekids and Exploited as well as majors: Polydor and Ministry of Sound. He first began turning heads in 2009 through his releases Whatcha Gonna Do and You Got It both on Made To Play. An artist EP, also on Made To Play named I Hope, later followed this. He was fully welcomed into the family when asked to mix the Made To Play compilation, which received a welcome response from press and clubbers alike. Production credits have undeniably merged into aspects of touring, as he also embarked on a US tour alongside label head Jesse Rose and Riva Starr to promote the Scion release A Night at Made to Play. Another prominent addition to his rise has been his bi monthly residency at the famous Panorama Bar in Berlin, representing Made To Play for their label showcase. Demonstrating his skills not only lie in production but similarly in Live and DJ sets. 2011 has without doubt been a turning point for Oliver$, his remix of the top ten track from Aloe Blacc I need a dollar, gained respectable coverage amongst the online community, which was quickly followed by his number 1 Beatport track Doing Ya Thang, released on Play It Down; Made To Plays sister label. Doing Ya Thang remained at the top of the charts for an astounding 5 weeks, and has continued to sit in the top ten since; it also sold a staggering 12,707 units (to date). The track has been played by producers across the board and has catapulted Oliver$ into a new league. It is clear there are exciting times ahead for this prominent Berlin house producer, who is gaining recognition across the world as his unique style of House continues to grow in popularity. with STRIZ http://www.illmeasures.com/blog/
