Untold,
Listening to Untold’s productions you get a broad sense of what’s going on in the world of electronic music. His musical tastes travel fluidly between East Coast American techno and house cities as well as traversing European borders. He wrapped up 2011 with a gritty stonker of a release through the Clone Basement Series and made a name for himself with iconic and pioneering releases through his own label, Hemlock. It’s also an untold fact that since 2008 he’s had over 35 separate releases (counted on Boomkat), showing that one guy was right to suggest “he’s not content with pissing all over the competition with a slew of scene defining records”. This is a soundsmith in very high demand.
Mickey Pearce,
When he’s not acting as youthful toe-rag Mickey Pearce in Only Fools and Horses, Mickey Pearce is making weighty, outside-the-box bass rhythms, most recently with huge acclaim for releases on Swamp81 and Blunted Robots. Back in the late noughties, when we didn’t have a name for all this new UK Bass music, he was releasing his forward thinking colourful-clunkers under the alias Shortstuff on Nottingham Labels Wigflex and Berkane Sol (and a host of others). We’re glad to have him back in a city he’s familiar with especially following his Swamp 81 release and look forward to some ruffneck knees-up business- just like the good old days.
Resident Pebble-heads come in the shape of head stiv, Spam Chop, uber dutty space mullet rocking techno-Duke and all round nice guy Hizatron as well as sophisticated disco-wrekkah Dawntreader.
