- Aril Brikha – A man of mystery and originality Is it techno? Is it house? Is it deep house? In 1998 Aril Brikha’s ‘Groove La Chord’ crossed generic boundaries. No one was more surprised by the success of the record than Brikha himself – he’d originally presented it on his demo as a potential B-side. It wasn’t until two years after he recorded the track, when Derrick May played it in a club, that he realised it was good. Since forging an alliance with Derrick May (Transmat), Brikha has toured solidly with his live show, playing everywhere from the inaugural DEMF (Detroit Electronic Music Festival) to clubs such as London's Fabric and Tokyo’s Air and Yellow. Last seen in Australia on the much talked about tour with Joris Voorn in 2008. Now Brikha is back! Not only is he back he is here to showcase his new Album, a re-release of one of the greatest electronic music albums of all time - Deeparture In Time (featuring Groove La Chord) - fully remastered and including a bonus disc of never released material from the same era.
