Vivid LIVE 2012 marks the highly anticipated return of Australian rock band The Temper Trap to Sydney, breaking their near-two-year absence with two Concert Hall performances. Now expanded into a five piece ensemble, the group will premiere new songs from their keenly anticipated self titled second album conceived over a nine month period in Spain, London and Los Angeles with producer Tony Hoffer (Beck, Phoenix, M83) due for release May 21.
Originating from a chance busking encounter in Melbourne, The Temper Trap quickly garnered international acclaim following their debut release, Conditions. Having built a significant following over the past four years across Europe, UK and North America, their long absence has resulted in feverish excitement and expectation around the new album. Having not played in Sydney since November 2010, The Temper Trap’s return will be a centrepiece of Vivid LIVE.
