- This June Bank Holiday, The Nest presents to Dalston one of their most exciting line-ups to date with some of the world’s heaviest-disco names penned to the bill. Heading the disco charge is a cult-DJ with a tried-and-tested record in tearing up London’s dance-floors: Lindstrøm. The Norwegian producer’s reign of space disco has made him a global pin-up within certain dance circles; his stream of highly-acclaimed EPs and remixes for names including Franz Ferdinand, Juan Maclean and LCD Soundsystem have made sure his tight measures of progressive, disco and even gospel are remembered. Simply put, he’s nothing short of special. Joining Lindstrom is disco-king Mighty Mouse. His modern take on disco and house has seen him pack clubs with heads crediting their remixes of artists like Fenech Soler, Roy Davis Junior and the Gorillaz as some of the best in the genre. Playing out live is bedroom-producer Ronika; think a Madonna or Gwen Stefani with the beat and style of Daft Punk and LCD Soundsystem. Bristol’s disco-champs and Crack Magazine residents, Pardon My French and bloggers Slutty Fringe are also on board - already preparing for a huge night. More acts to be announced. The intimate basement space has never seen a disco-bill like it with earlybird tickets in advance at £10.
