Nôze Band is comprised 6 musicians on stage (drums, piano, guitar, trombone, saxaphone, and vocal) who, while all having different musical backgrounds, share the same passion for improvised music; jazz and contemporary music being the common demoninator.
The band has had thier hand in the concretization and development of Nôze from thier beginning to today, exploring the idea of playing electronic music (house/minimal) with and orchestra of musicians on stage, or in a club.
Nôze want to represent another side of their music, a side where you don’t only listen to the music with your ears or your feet, but with your heart and soul. They aim to recompose their music (once created in a studio) on stage in more substancial, procreative and richer way, being void of inhibitions and thus providing limitless possiblities, bringing every musician into his own.
Nôze have always done live sets, and have been one of the for-runners in freeing thier live set from track beginnings and track endings, instead, improvising thier works and bringing in energy, absurdity and spontaniousness that defines Nôze Band.
It is only logical they continue with this approach of not only bringing, but creating the music for their audience, though stages designed to present the band as a while, whilst maintaining emphasis on each and every musician present. Machines and programming are present, but the tracks are played intsrumentally as well, allowing every musician to imporvise, to bring his own imagination, inspirations, and liberties together and an indespensible nuance that compliments, if not carries the nôze band expierience on it’s broad, collective shoulders.
