TECHNICS are back at Turnmills on SATURDAY 10TH APRIL for their 2nd landmark
event of 2004. In February, the capital came to a standstill as Deep Dish
flew into town to play at the World Launch Party for the Technics SL_DZ1200
CD Decks. This was the 3rd time that Deep Dish have played Turnmills in the
past eight months and it was also the 1st time that the world got to hear
Technic's new revolutionary new bit of kit live in action.
DANNY HOWELLS has been asked to take control of the next 6 Hour Technics
session in April, for what's now becoming a very exclusive clubbing series.
Danny will make his 2nd solo appearance having headlined the August party
last year. He joins an elite list of DJs to have played this party - the
others being Felix Da Housecat, Satoshi Tomiie and Deep Dish.
Since launching Global Underground's innovative new compilation series 24:7
at Turnmills last summer, Danny embarked on a whirlwind tour rocking clubs
right across the globe. He still resides at Arc, New York once a month for
his near-legendary 8 hour session and he's just released another storming
track (with Dick Trevor and featuring Erire on vocals) titled 'Dusk Till
Dawn'. Look out for a very special performance from them all for Radio 1 at
the WMC, before Danny gets back in the studio to work on some new material.
But back to the night at hand, where Yoshitoshi fave BEHROUZ, will be flying
in from the States to add some DJ support in the Main Room. Behrouz warmed
up for Deep Dish at February's party and it's fair to say he had the whole
crowd eating out of the palm of his hand a mere hour into his set!!
Meanwhile over in Room 2, DJ MAGAZINE return to host the backroom for the
2nd time. Hot producer of the moment MARTIJN TEN VELDEN (previously of Audio
Drive fame, now with Mark Knight), will be doing some serious damage behind
the decks as he drops a sleazy house soundtrack, together with tribalist
VILLENUEVE and JOHAN W.
Technics will then return to Turnmills after the summer for Part 3 of this
hugely popular clubbing series with another very special guest.....
