- As part of the Stag & Dagger festival, we are delighted to be showcasing one of the most creative record labels in the UK. What started life as a youtube channel for oddities picked up by Hot City’s DJ Haus, Unknown to the Unknown has grown into a platform for a truly diverse range of producers and sounds. From securing releases by legends like Marcus Mixx, Alias G and DJ Stingray, to unearthing some of the finest gems from the UK underground their output forms a dancefloor ready patchwork of grime, intense bassline, weird chicago house and rave infused techno. Representing the label will be four artists who, although varying in style, have an approach to production and performance that is in line with our thoughts on the bounce: | DJ Haus & Mackaveli (UTTU Soundsystem) | Capracara | Checan One of our favourite aspects of the label is the pastiche-laden visual output: from rough and ready youtube mashups to apocalyptic cartoon illustrations and crogan-esque digital dumbness – rest assured we’ll be busy building a custom visual show to bring this hyper aesthetic into the club. animated flyer - http://tmblr.co/ZCZIqvKY_t1u
