Headlining this evening is Bristol based DJ/producer Nick Warren. This man’s impressive career has seen him release the very first “Back to Mine†album, a staggering eight albums for “Global Undergroundâ€, and one for “Renaissance†and “Creamâ€. He’s also A&R for record label Hope Recordings, as well as being a member of the highly acclaimed duo Way Out West. Tour DJ with Massive Attack, a residency at super club Cream and playing at every self-respecting club on the planet, has led him to become one of the world’s most respected DJs.
Today, Nick continues to DJ all around the globe, whilst also maintaining Hope Recording’s high quality output and airing his bi-monthly radio show “Soundgarden†on Friskyradio, which attracts over 150,000 unique tune-ins each episode. 2012 looks like another great year for Nick as he heads into the studio with Jody Wisternoff to work on the new Way Out West album.
Supporting Nick Warren is Reworck founder Pole Folder. The former Digweed protégée Pole Folder entered the limelight in 2001 as a DJ and producer at the forefront of the European progressive house movement, and has since evolved into a multi-instrumentalist and live performer of melodic-driven techno, tech house and deep house. His debut album “Zero Gold†was described by Resident Advisor as “delicate atmospheric…musically rich…and one of those timeless pieces of music†and given a phenomenal 4,5/5 score. His Reworck releases gain strong support from tastemakers all around the world, including Argentina’s Hernan Cattaneo.
Also heading down to Antwerp is Berlin based Marquez Ill. Marquez Ill is best known for his productions with Scottish vocalist Leigh Myles, where he combines his love for early house music with 10 years experience as a hip hop DJ and producer.
Last but not least there’s Sven Jaeger who entered the Beatport charts with his debut EP “Casablanca†at #8, which has also been licensed by Carl Cox, for his “The Revolution Continues†double mix CD in 2010.
