Lenny Posso, born and raised in NYC, has been a part of the electronic music underground scene for nearly 20 years. Starting off as a dancer in some of the most influential underground institutions, then later becoming a DJ, promoter and now label manager. He's been an integral part of several event groups in helping to curate some of the finest lines-ups to be found in the city from back in the early 90's till current day. His more recent series, Thema Nights and RADIO events have brought in some of the best talent from home and abroad held in various warehouse/lofts throughout the Brooklyn borough, for an intimate, but intense well received all nighters. Lenny has shared the DJ booth with legions of respected international and local artists in the electronic underground music scene in New York as well as in France, the U.K., Holland, Germany, Finland and Canada with many future dates lining up abroad to share his bold, energetic, unique blend of techno funk. His motivation lies in the pursuit to positively engage the audience with the most current and obscure sounds of today, as well as yesterday. Never forget your past or you will never truly understand the path of the future. As founder and manager of Thema Recordings, he has created a platform that continues to develop and redefine the ever-evolving New York underground as the city's international profile broadens. Never conforming to one style or sound, Thema has built a reputation for putting out some of the most cutting edge, abstract, techno and house music coming out of the U.S. today. About to hit its 30th release, with no sign of slowing down and with a new sublabel-Chronicle, being launched in early 2012, for the more harder, sci-fi material. Look out for it, it will be a vinyl only imprint.
