After nearly 8 years, the Make It New extended family reaches all over the world, but no more than in New York City, where many of our flung friends have found success and turned into beasts of the east. And Ariana Paoletti (aka DJ Volvox) is in beastmode right now.
Her own brand Deconize is roaring, she scooped a dream job at Amarcord and co-founded the M.O.O.N. II art space in the heart of Brooklyn's creative mecca.
We know DJ Volvox for her distinct brand of techno selection, opting for a harder, more mechanized breed of beats. And the former weekly resident returns to rock the block again.
We've arranged for a reunion of rum as well. The "Volvox" was once on the menu and we're reviving it for one night only. A special tasting is available to the first 40 people that enter courtesy of Privateer Rum. Privateer is a silver rum in more of an agricole style, which yields a smoother, lighter and more herbal product. Delicious.
