We’ve enjoyed some fantastic parties down at The Grand Social this year and we’re delighted to announce another bumper line up for our FINAL PARTY OF SUMMER 2012 this coming Bank Holiday SUNDAY AUGUST 5TH! This time around, not only do we present rising Irish DJs & Producers, local heros and Irish legends, we also tip the hat to some international talent in the form of two live shows - EGBERT (Cocoon Recordings) & CHRISTIAN BURKHARDT (Oslo Records).
The Loft (Upstairs) features a solid techno line up that’ll feature a debut Irish live performance from Dutchman – EGBERT (Cocoon). When not playing at festivals around Europe, including Awakefest & Timewarp, he can be found in the Main Room at Amnesia, Ibiza on Monday nights for Sven Vaths monster Cocoon nights. We also welcome back Irish Techno Lord, SUNIL SHARPE (no introduction needed). Support comes from MONGO resident AL KEEGAN and a host of other local talent.
The Ballroom (Downstairs) provides a housier affair. Making his way from Mannheim, Germany to promote his brand new album is OSLO RECORDS main man – CHRISTIAN BURKHARDT. Christian released his debut album, ‘Offenbach’ to rave reviews at the end of June and this is the perfect time to witness his fresh new LIVE SHOW. Also on the bill is man of the moment, BUBBA (Hot Creations), whose recent remix on Runnin Wild ‘Pop 60’ is causing quite a stir on dancefloors around the globe! Support comes from MONGO resident AARON NOLAN, Citizen Black & many more.
The Garden will play host to Disco & Party tunes compliments of Irish legend – BILLY SCURRY. It’ll be just over a year since Billy last played for us and we literally cant wait to hear him bust out some of those rare gems hes known for. Support comes from Bodytonics FRANKIE BINGO, Round Ups SEANY BEE & Allegro resident FINTAN LALOR!
Doors for the show open from 4.30pm. We’ll provide various drink promos to keep it within budget and as usual, there’ll be a BBQ on hand in the garden to keep you in good health throughout! Admission for this whopping line up is the cheapest you’ll find in Dublin that day - €15.
