  • Artist info: KOEN LEBENS Koen Lebens, Born on 14 May 1984 in the city of Leiden, began his musical career at the age of twelve by playing the drums. After six years taking out his adolescent frustrations on the instrument, he exchanged his drum set for a drum computer and a set of turntables. According to his inner circle, it was only now that his talents were truly triggered; Koen found techno on his way, started performing on numerous parties and taught himself the basic steps of producing. A couple of years later, during New Year's Eve 2003/2004, he got to know Fokko Versloot. Soon it became clear that they shared the same musical taste and a new DJ duo was born. Surely, it will not have surprised anyone that the two rapidly conquered the nightlife of Leiden. At the same time, the productions of both DJ's drew attention nationwide, and even the rest of the world was soon to pick up on their tracks; an extraordinary achievement. 2008 saw the first release on the well-known Amsterdam based label Outland Records. 'Circus' as the release was called, turned out an immediate success and appeared on the playlist of many DJ's around the world. The same year, Koen and Fokko produced a series of booming remixes. A second club hit, a solo production of Koen Lebens called 'Napolitanzer', followed soon afterwards. Keeping this success in mind, and the many productions the duo was planning to release, the summer of 2009 promised to become a true success story. There was a new release on Outland Records called 'Moves/Sugarfree' and the duo was booked to perform on big events like Awakenings Festival, Dance Valley and Loveland; many other parties were to come. Only a week after the performance at Awakenings Festival, on 4 July 2009, the tragic death of Fokko Versloot meant an abrupt end of these prospects. With this, Koen Lebens not only lost a musical partner, with whom he achieved great successes, but also his best friend; understandably, a slap in the face that took some time to process. As an homage to Fokko, but also because one simply has to move on, Koen revived his DJ and producer career as a solo artist. As a solo artist Koen revived by remixing some big artists, performing on big events like Loveland, Time Warp, Awakenings Festival and he got new releases in the making. Just some name-dropping. Many tracks of Koen and Fokko have been played by such DJ's as Dubfire, Paco Osuna, Marco Carola, Karotte, Monika Kruse, Valentino Kanzyani, Someone Else, Benny Rodrigues, Joseph Capriati, Okain, Bart Skils, Joris Voorn, 2000 and One, Sebastien Leger and Massi DL. Timestalkerz Timestalkerz was brought to life by Belgian Dj's Kman and Colina. They started mixing at home in Wijchmaal somewhere in the summer of 2005. The two 17-year olds shared a passion for electronic music, and so together they started a dj-duo: Timestalkerz was born! Later on, they made remixes and some productions of their own, but only for personal use in sets. They had a good response on some of their own tracks, but decided their main focus was and should remain getting people moving on the dancefloor. There are no official track / EP releases to this day, but there's plenty of unreleased stuff they like to use from time to time... Their main style can be described as quality underground deep & tech-house, with some techno, house and minimal influences. You won't find any commercial 'hit' records in their bag, that's for sure. Highlights so far include: their own weekly podcast, some sets on Proton Radio and some very nice gigs, like playing in the quarter finals of the Catwalk Rotterdam DJ Contest and plenty of local gigs. Tech-house is finally growing in Limburg, and they're glad to be a part of that, promoting the style everywhere for these past years. Mr. Coach Hi i'm Mister Coach, a Belgian Dj that loves the house vibes in your body, I started loving the beats in 2006 and started to explore the DJ world, when I was 18 years old! I was spinnin some funky - techhouse, and was invited for some regular party's and played at some contests, that I just won in 2006 (Star Dj) thanks to a huge crowd, my thanks! In 2007 I just played at some private and regular party's but in that year a had the chance to play at a local Electronic Music Festival MOODSTOCK !!! That was a great Oppurtunity for me, and it felt great to give the people that coachy feeling, what gives you a good rhythm and you just want to dance to it! 2008 I was again invited for Moodstock, this was the best feeling ever, I can just exeperience the hole thing again! I had some few chats with the guys who organize the festival and asked if i can be a part of it. They were happy to accept me in the festivalgroup, so I help this festival to a good end every year ;) Because of my help and influence i got a chance to become a resident Dj at moodstock! Later that year I was spinning at home and learning about producing tracks, it's not that easy :) The rest of the year was pretty calm, I guess there alot of dj's and it's hard 2 choose between al those people, but I won't give up. Still hoping that I get an opportunity to proof myself as a good DJ, so the people will enjoy my music and listen to my set!
