From the launch of our inaugural party in February, The Breakfast Club has been honoured to host the likes of Danny Daze, Midland, Anthony Pappa, Guy J & Nic Fanciulli. After a list of prestigious artists that reads like a who's who of electronic music, The Breakfast Club is wrapped to announce on the return of Way Out West's Jody Wisternoff, on Friday 24th August.
JODY WISTERNOFF (UK) [Way Out West]
Jody Wisternoff's musical journey has had connections to just about every aspect of the craft - from kick starting his career in 1986 as a 13 year old, reaching the finals of the DMC Hip Hop Championships, to pioneering the early UK rave sound as part of breakbeat outfit Sub Love, to his long standing partnership with Nick Warren, as Way Out West. His career until now has mostly revolved around his tag team with Nick Warren, which saw Jody elevate to headlining Glastobury’s dance arena as Way Out West. The duo pioneered a cinematic progressive breaks sound, scoring a top 15 hit with “The Gift†in 1996. They notched up four top 40 hits and as remixers, the sought-after pair touched up classics from Orbital, Inner City and Sasha. Fast forward to the present day. Along with four successful albums under his belt as Way Out West, Jody Wisternoff also continues to purvey soundsthrough his monthly radio shows, Frisky & Proton Radio, while having released solo singles on Ministry of Sound, Anjunadeep & Distinctive,including a 'Beatport Number 1'. Right now, Jody is at the top of his game having just released his debut solo album “Trails We Blazeâ€, the album blends elements of house, nu disco, progressive, techno and bass. It also hosts revamps of the Pete Tong-endorsed “Starstrings’ and the Beatport number 1 “Cold Drink Hot Girlâ€, two of his most recognizable solo tracks.
