SWARM is extremely excited to bring you German underground techno supremo Alex Bau on Friday the 7th of September!
This is Alex’s maiden performance in Australia… so in his own immortal words Alex is totally psyched to deliver nothing but “loads of bass for the people!”

The self-proclaimed “German Techno Machine”, Alex Bau is a name which has been synonymous with quality underground techno for many years, focusing on the deep, dark and gritty side of audio alchemy.
For those that are already familiar with the name, thoughts of bass heavy, deep, dark, hypnotic brooding techno undoubtedly ensue, whether on a minimal tip or on the harder edge, Alex Bau’s sound is unique and unrelenting.
Often though, Alex Bau’s techno sound can be hard to succinctly categorise – yet it can be argued that this is indeed one of the true hallmarks of great cutting edge underground electronic music. For it electronic music such as this that has the profound and innate ability to easily surpass generic genres and can therefore be appreciated simply for what it is, perfect dance floor/party music.
SWARM has also always taken pride in being able to facilitate the perfect environment for losing oneself within an audio vortex of rhythmic bliss. Most of us are already well aware of the fact, that when all the many variables align, there is actually very little else that can compare to the experience of a profoundly moving musical moment.
This has always been our sincere and genuine motivation, and we therefore always take great care in associating ourselves with electronic music artists, both domestic and international that unambiguously exemplify exactly what it is that SWARM stands for; proper underground techno!
Alex Bau is most definitely no exception.
For those of you that aren’t too familiar with Alex Bau’s sound as yet, you need only visit www.alexbau.de - www.clr.net or www.beatport.com in order to listen to the plethora of material he has written or remixed since 1992.
Alex has also worked and collaborated with pivotal techno artists such as Chris Leibing, Pfirter, Florian Meindl, Mark Broom, Brian Sanhaji just to name a few. Alex has multiple releases on such labels as CLR, Zenit, Sino, Toneman as well as his own label Credo.
However talk is often cheap…
