The "new" of our party title is hard to quantify. Certainly we love us some classic jams (the timeless Detroit techno, the jacking Chicago acid, the beach-party climax) and not always can we sort out the newest names before they explode so large they exceed the budget of our little club.
In the case of young Max Cooper, however, "Not existing before; made, introduced, or discovered recently or now for the first time" fits the bill.
With productions that have been compared to Aphex Twin or Philip Glass and even Henry Gorecki, "one of the greatest new talents" produces "peerlessly beautiful" music and remixes artists like Hot Chip, Pig and Dan and Sasha. When stepping into the DJ booth, he can be called "challenging," but only as much as it is a challenge to dance for two hours plus.
When we asked our peers if we should book Max Cooper, answers came in as "Hell yes," "I've been dying to see him for years," and "MAX COOPER?!?!?!"
For the third in our eighth-anniversary parties, we're proud to say of London's Max Cooper: We got him. Presented as part of the "Conditions" tour.
