Haha & Sydney Fringe Pres. Brouhaha Feat. Africa Hitech

  • HAHA Industries come together with the Sydney Fringe Festival 2012 to bring you a very special, one-off festival closing night party - BROUHAHA! Dance the night away with HAHA Industries as we showcase some of Sydney’s most talented underground artists in Sydney's electronic music scene. Headlining the events proceedings will be a live set by ; Africa Hitech (Warp) ================== Comprised of two of the Electronic Dance Music scene's most distinctive artists; Steve Spacek and Mark Pritchard. Spacek started out as Spacek Sound System in 1996 which included a release on !K7 and Mark Pritchard has produced under an infinite number of monikers including the infamous Harmonic 313. Making the perfect pair, they are constantly reaching towards the creation of new soundscapes and forging beyond familiar auditory terrain. Incorporating their influences from the past to assemble futuristic sounds, with the assimilation of high-pitched percussion and soulful chaos with rhythmic reverberations. Adding to the festivities on the night are; Lorna Clarkson (Down Low Disco, 2SER) ==================================== Host to 2SER’s Down Low Disco, a radio show on Tuesday nights of the forward thinking and innovative kind, Lorna has her ear well to the ground when it comes to dance floor tactics most have yet to even be privy too. Having played at the RBMA lounge at Sonar in Barcelona, she’s now been accepted as one of the Alumni from the Rome 2004 RBMA session. Luke Snarl (Sub Bass Snarl) ========================== Starting out in 1991 at the onset of rave in Sydney, Sub Bass Snarl was pioneering a “decks’n’effects” setup from the beginning. Relinquishing vinyl and using CDs as early as 1992, Sub Bass Snarl have evolved into a diverse and dynamic outfit. They have performed at over 1,000 events including 5 Big Day Out festivals, Vibes On A Summer’s Day, and events from underground parties and clubs to galleries and corporate spaces. D&D (HAHA/Beat Kitchen) ======================= HAHA honcho DJs Dean Dixon and Dave Fernandes (aka D&D) are two guys with a heavy petting fetish for vinyl only gems and they usually come armed with a fat rotary mixer in hand. Their music policy is simple when commanding the sounds - to play music that will make make you dance, whichever move you prefer is up to you!
