Alex is a Paris born, Tokyo raised DJ/Producer. Having lived in Tokyo more than 20 years in his youth, he developed into one of the strongest crossover DJs in Asia. Although he has been based in New York since 2004, Alex still travels back to Tokyo every 2 months to continue his 13 year residency at the Sunday afternoon party "Gallery", his Timewarp party and tour throughout Japan. In NYC he regularly plays at Club Cielo, Le Bain (at the Standard Hotel) and in downtown venues like Santos Party House, Nublu and Submercer. Alex produces music under the name Tokyo Black Star with his production partner Isao Kumano, releasing original material on the Berlin based label Innervisions, an imprint run by Dixon and Ame. He has also remixed Carl Craig, collaborated with Rich Medina, and has had his own music reworked by other artists such as LocoDice and Radioslave.
