From his London beginnings on the Pirate Radio network, to his releases on Jamie Jones' Hot Creations label, Alexis Raphael has crafted an ultra-modern sound with a “definite retro feel” - he mixes everything from classic Chicago house to contemporary deep house, fused and injected with splashes of techno, funk, 80s or even a bit of disco. And it’s this music that has brought him international acclaim and seen him DJing to the far corners of the world, from Europe to Africa, South America, and beyond. The "Spaceship" release in 2011 was a massive hit the Balearic islands, and he was a featured guest at the wildly successful Paradise party at DC-10 in Ibiza this summer. Getting signed to a record label run by the #1 DJ in the world (As ranked by residentadvisor.net) was an opportunity to showcase his years of experience running events in the UK. Alexis, along with musical partner Cozzy D, is also a promoter and founder of Crèche, a party that swept London's underground scene. He is performing a number of select dates on this tour including appearances in Dominican Republic, Miami, and finally here in Baltimore.
