- Cast your mind back to 2011, possibly one of the Sydney scenes best years in recent times for lovers of underground electronic music. One of the surprise, and regarded as many as one of the best, gigs of the year was KOLLEKTIV TURMSTRASSE’s Sydney show at Shrug for their debut tour of Australia. 18 months on and we are extremely fortunately to welcome Nico & Christian back to Sydney for their 2nd ever live show here. This time instead of a packed house of around 500 music lovers Shrug will be presenting an extremely intimate gig limited to only 200 presale tickets downstairs in the confines of One22’s bunker like underground depths. For those who were at the last show you know how amazing Kollektiv Turmstrasse’s live show is, and for those who weren’t there….well you’re going to be in for a treat. Not only are Christian & Nico two of the nicest people you’ll meet I feel it is safe to say that the depth of talent they show in their music is almost unparalleled and they have carved a niche distinctly their own. Alongside Kollektiv Turmstrasse we are proud to have on support KT’s label mate (Musik Gewinnt Freunde) and Sydney favorite the most lovely YokoO, and one of Australia’s rising talents who now calls Berlin home; Kyson who’ll be bringing his eclectic live set to one22….filling out the line up is Shrug’s bearded head-honcho Dave Stuart. We look forward to sharing Sat 1st December with 200 like-minded music lovers at One22.
