Das New Fall Festival basiert auf einer einfachen Überzeugung: Der Rahmen ist nicht egal. Konzerte leben von Atmosphäre. Musik und Ort beeinflussen einander. Das gilt umso mehr für eine neue Generation von Bands in der Schnittmenge von Pop und „ernster“ Musik. Das New Fall Festival will einen besonderen Rahmen für besondere Künstler bieten – und für ein erwachsenes Publikum, das den traditionellen Rockshow-Ritualen – matschiger Sound, Hauptband erst kurz vor Mitternacht, muffige Hallen – entwachsen ist.
Nach einer erfolgreichen Premiere 2011 geht das New Fall Festival 2012 in die zweite Runde. Auch in diesem Jahr werden wieder außergewöhnliche Künstler eingeladen, in zwei der schönsten Konzertsälen Deutschlands zu spielen. Die Auftritte finden im holzvertäfelten Robert-Schumann-Saal des Museum Kunstpalast und in der Tonhalle statt.
Das musikalische Programm reicht von Singer/Songwriter bis zu Elektro. Die Organisatoren freuen sich, zur Premiere im Oktober eine Mischung aus internationalen Stars und Geheimtipps nach Düsseldorf holen zu können.

New Fall Festival is based on the simple conviction that venues matter. Concerts depend on a certain atmosphere. Music and setting influence each other. This is especially true for a new generation of bands that share elements of pop and classical music. New Fall Festival aims to provide special venues for special artists – and for a mature audience that has outgrown the traditional rock show and its rituals (poor sound, drab venues, unnecessarily late stage times).
After a succesfull premiere in 2011, New Fall Festival will leave its mark again in 2012. Extraordinary artists and bands have been invited for the second time to play in two of Germany’s most beautiful concert halls. Performances will take place in the wood-paneled Robert-Schumann-Saal and Düsseldorf’s prestigious Tonhalle.
The music ranges from singer/songwriter to electronic sounds. The presenters are delighted to welcome a blend of international stars and upcoming bands to the premiere of Düsseldorf’s New Fall Festival in October.
