All Gone Pete Tong

  • ALL GONE All Gone Pete Tong has quickly become the biggest story of Ibiza 2012 – with guests including Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones, Groove Armada, Basement Jaxx, Calvin Harris, Madeon, Booka Shade, Jacques Lu Cont, Maya Jane Coles and many more. The mantra for ALL GONE is to put on exciting and fresh line ups that challenge perceptions. Always keeping things varied, Pete's parties focus on the freshest up and coming talent as well as the global names and legends of electronic music. PETE TONG It’s fair to say that Pete Tong’s history is intertwined with the history of acid house and electronic music itself. His career mirrors the story of dance music over the last 25 years. A true renaissance man, Pete has never been about one thing and 2012 represents a significant milestone. The year has seen Radio 1 hold a special 12 hour takeover on the station celebrating Pete’s 20 years on their airwaves, in March he held his Miami Pool Party (with Hawtin, Luciano, Joris Voorn, Riva Starr and others), and he’s released two new compilations, Future Underground, (mixed alongside Riva Starr) and All Gone Ibiza ’12. FRANCOIS K In 1996, he (along with partner John Davis) became involved in starting what arguably became one of New York's most revered weekly parties, Body&SOUL which took place every Sunday afternoon at Club Vinyl (6 Hubert Street), playing along with co-resident DJs Joaquin 'Joe' Claussell and Danny Krivit for a mixed crowd of ecstatic and faithful dancers from all over the world. The 'Body&SOUL' sound, a unique soulful mix of very organic and spiritual dance music grooves, led to the release of a successful compilation series by the same name. The release of his Sonar Music set in 2002 marked a key point in Franois K’s career; he started playing a much edgier and futuristic style, with more to do with techno and dub than the House sound he was mostly identified with as a DJ until that time. In 2002, he also started touring along with Detroit Techno legend Derrick May, playing sets together as the 'Cosmic Twins'. His recent appearances at Berlin's Tresor, Manchester's Sankey's Soap and London's Fabric have helped gain him many younger fans that may not have been aware of his previous work, which in turn has led to the timely Summer 2006 release of his newest compilation CD, entitled 'Frequencies', (Wavetec), which takes the listener on a grand tour of the types of electronic music sounds he has been championing of late, from Electro and Minimal to 'big-room' House and Techno. BLOND:ISH Originally hatched in Montreal, but currently based in London, DJ's Anstascia and Vivie-Ann have established their love child globally by proving that they don't fit the quintessential stereotype. Fuelled by their sharp taste-maker instincts and technical flair, Blond:ish has not only charmed the industry masses but set themselves to release on some of the most notable labels around. In the last few years, Blond:ish has carved out a unique production recipe which focuses on the art of creating music that is organic and multi-dimensional. Provocative basslines contrasted with smooth textures and sticky vocals that blend into a genre of house that rebels against being pigeonholed to any specific category. Recent releases include their psychedelic influenced ‘Lovers In Limbo’ EP out on Kompakt inspired by Blond:ish’s curiosity of the late 60’s musical movement, Lonely Day's (with hunter/game, climbers, re.you remixes) on NM2 (Noir Music 2) being chosen as Pete Tong's essential new tune on BBC Radio 1, as well as forthcoming releases & remixes for Get Physical & Hot Waves this summer.
