Logic Events in association with Bar Soma are proud to be bringing to Brisbane one of the leaders of the minimal techno/tech house scenes Gui Boratto.
In 2005 Gui Boratto decided it was time to dedicate himself to his own productions and compositions, after years of working in various capacities for major record labels in his home country of Brazil, and by focusing on his own work Gui was able to display to the music community a more personalised side to his abilities. It was not long before punters, DJs, promoters with countless licenses with respected European labels such as Plastic City, Circle, Kompakt, Audiomatique Gui quickly established himself as one of the most in demand producers on the planet. His music has appeared in the charts, playlists and on compilations of people like Michael Mayer, Tiefschwarz, Steve Bug, Phonique, Sander Kleineberg, John Digweed and Hernan Cattaneo to name just a few.
2007 saw the release of Gui’s first full length artist album, Chromophobia, which was applauded by many as one of the finest albums of the year. Gui has also started performing more sets across the globe at events including Mutek Festival in Montreal, Detroit Electronic Music Festival, NITSA in Barcelona and many other events in Europe whilst still finding the time to play regularly in South America.
