Having performed at over 600 concerts in North America and Europe - and picked up several music awards, competition titles, critical acclaim, and albums along the way - in their 15 years together, Swiss A Cappella group The Glue has come a long way from their humble origins as a 5-man a cappella group (or “boyband”, as they like calling themselves) born of their hometown’s church’s boy’s choir.
Known for their unconventional, zany performances, and their Latin salsa, East European Gypsy music, and African tribal music-influenced styles, The Glue astounds all, no matter the setting; they can be both private and intimate in small theatres, and bombastic and comical on the big stage.
In November 2011 they received Basel-Landschaft canton’s cultural award and finished as the top 5 out of 500 groups for the Swiss finals of the Eurovision Song Contest.
