Red Bull Culture Clash

  • Major Lazer vs Annie Mac presents Magnetic Man vs Boy Better Know vs Channel One Red Bull Culture Clash returns to London for the third time with a heavier line-up than ever before. This November 7th, the iconic live music venue Wembley Arena will be transformed into a massive musical battleground for this groundbreaking live music concept: four stages, four crews representing four different genres and only one winner. This year’s Red Bull Culture Clash will see four of the world’s most notorious crews and soundsystems, going head to head with their very own takes on UK bass music. Reggae, dubstep, grime and UK house and garage are all represented, as the crowd decide who will be crowned rulers of the dance. Inspired by traditional Jamaican soundclash culture, the night will be composed of four rounds in which each soundsystem has a limited time to drop as many killer tracks as they possibly can – some of them recorded exclusively for the event – and win over the crowd. We promise nothing but rising tension, non-stop drama and a host of special guests who will reveal their allegiances on the night. After 30 years of representing the sounds of roots reggae, the formidable Channel One Soundsystem (Mikey Dread & Ras Kayleb) will head to Wembley with their strong spiritual ethos, all-vinyl & dubplate selection to retain their Red Bull Culture Clash title. Having worked with everyone from Wyclef Jean to Snoop Dogg, international reggae superstar Anthony B will be supporting Channel One live on stage. Genre-defying super-producer Diplo brings his rabble-rousing, festival-tested Major Lazer Soundsystem to take on the reigning champions. He will square up to a heavy line-up presented by Radio 1’s Annie Mac and led by dubstep’s original supergroup, Magnetic Man as well as special guests Rudimental, Disclosure, P Money and Ms Dynamite. Pioneering grime collective Boy Better Know complete the bill, flying the flag for East London with special guests Lethal Bizzle and Chip joining BBK’s JME, Jammer, Wiley and more. Radio 1Xtra’s Tim Westwood will be co-host the event alongside Gemma Cairney, warming you up for the ultimate party.
