Tempo Clash: Kidsuke Album Launch

  • KIDSUKE - Kidkanevil X Daisuke Tanabe (Project Mooncircle) J:KENZO (Tempa) BLUE DAISY (Black Acre) SWEDE:ART (Tokyo Dawn / Germany JEALOUSGUY (Ihatov Remains / Japan) LAURENT FINTONI (Original Cultures) -- Capacity: 250 Sound: Funktion One The Kidsuke Tour is sponsored by Original Cultures (www.originalcultures.org) & The Japan Foundation (www.jpf.org.uk) -- After an epic, sold out show at the end of September, we are now preparing to do the same by celebrating the incredible new Kidsuke album, deep down in the 250 capacity Funktion One Birthdays Basement. ‘Kidsuke’ is a collaborative project between Tempo Clash's very own Kidkanevil and Japan’s Daisuke Tanabe. Their self-titled debut is released by Project Mooncircle in November 2012. Originally coming from a techno/breakbeat background, Daisuke has developed his own style of production to create a distinctive sound between hiphop, electronica, folk and jazz. Match that with our very own Kidkanevil. described by Bonobo as “the best moments of RJD2 and Timbaland combined” and you have a pairing capable of creating something truly unique. That they did, described by Earmilk as “one of the most engaging and contrasting works we have stumbled upon in a long time” the album will stand as one of the most original and captivating of 2012. Expect the live set to be raw, lively and incredibly powerful. J:Kenzo is headliner number two, his status as one of contemporary dubsteps leading authorities was certified earlier this year, occupying the 2012 slot at FWD's prestigious birthday party. After releasing a string of successful singles, his self titled debut LP dropped late September on seminal dubstep label Tempa to a rather rapturous reaction. Dub Dread Vibes with echoes of Jungle and Techno reflect in both his Productions and DJ Sets, which are built to test the toughest of Soundsystems and rock the hardest of dancefloors. To be sure the rave goes off in usual Clash fashion Blue Daisy will be flying the flag. Daisy is the energetic hub of the Tempo Clash team and whether he's on the mic or behind the desk you will be made aware as to why Mary Anne Hobbs labelled him as the future of British electronic music. Japan based Jealousguy and German based Swede:Art will be flying in, whilst Original Cultures very own Laurent Fintoni rounds up a line-up we're all particualry excited about. To avoid missing out we advise to buy tickets in advance.
