  • ‘WE LOVE FRANK’ 6th-10th Nov 2012 Yeah Studio & Feed the Need present WE LOVE FRANK, a graphic poetry fundraising exhibition curated by Leading Astray. Taking over the ground floor of the über cool Red Gallery space in Old St, the art exhibition will showcase the talents of Simone Moscariello, a pure genius in graphic design, and Nick Eagle, an awe inspiring craft master with words. All the works exposed will be on sale and all the funds raised through them will be donated to Frank. On top of the original pieces, also will be on sell poster sized replicas, printed t-shirts & accessories, postcards, bookmarks and a special present from the artist to all the Leading Astray family ☺ You may ask who’s Frank… Francesco Pagani is a good friend that was diagnosed with malignant myofibroblastic sarcoma in the face at the beginning of this year. After chemo treatment only more bad news came up, until a complete change of lifestyle improved his health and mind being. Now, with the hope put into the future, we are raising money for a very expensive treatment in a clinic abroad. Feed the Need is a brand new label of t-shirts & accessories with unique and exclusive graphic poetry designs. The name represents a sense of freedom, adventure and determination that is so important in doing the things that make you who you are. It is values driven and strives for a sustainable future. It is all about making the best of today for a better tomorrow. Whatever you do in life; the power, energy and the spirit is in us to ‘feed the need’.. Doing it yourself and giving it your all with purpose, passion and integrity; picking yourself up from the knocks, doing it all again and getting it right with pride and humility, is ‘feeding the need’. The label combines literature, design, innovation and adventure. The writings represent the values of the company and are about self-expression in this ever changing world. They believe that every day is a gift and the sharing of experiences through written and visual expression can bring us together. SIMONE MOSCARIELLO Over the past 15 years Simone has developed his skills for graphic design, website and multimedia design to contemporary bespoke furniture design and e making. For him Creativity Design is a mental process involving the discovery of new ideas and concepts, or new associations of the existing ideas or concepts, fueled by the process of either conscious or unconscious insight. The imagination that's manifest brings the creative design to life. He is constantly searching for activity that engages in something new, something that has never existed before. Any field of endeavor in which something new is created, discovered, or invented, may be a source of creative activity: science, industrial engineering, the arts, politics, and other fields- inspirations can be found everywhere in everyday life. From the continuous line of a pencil producing stream of ideas that convert into signs and graphics. He often expresses this energy in producing scenography, exhibitions and film documentaries. He believes that the constructive activity of creativity is unrepeatable in terms of performance and results. It is original and is unique in terms of society and history, not merely in terms of the individual. NICK EAGLE Born in New Zealand where the “great outdoors” was a key part of his upbringing. He was 10 when the parents took him and his brother out of school for five months and did a big overseas trip (campervan through Europe and Scandinavia). This long trip at such an early age was a huge impact on his life which meant he always wanted to travel and see more of the world. After leaving school he did a degree in geography and sociology in his home town of Wellington. Following a lot of travelling around the globe whilst working, he was taken on by a Town Planning Firm and did a Masters in Town Planning and Sustainability at Kingston University (his interest, and now his passion, was completely focused in Sustainability). Nick came back to London about a year and a half ago. He has always written about his experiences along the way, which are reflected in the writings of the T-shirts. Shortly after moving back he started bringing together his dream for expressing his writings. He met Simone through his partner and the magic happened. When two bright and creative minds join together only beautiful things can happen. Feed the Need is the reflection of this perfect symbiosis.
