  • NEO DISCO PUNK WITH PICTURE BOOK (LIVE) Neo Disco Punk continues its last monthly musical madness with resident collaborators Disco Dirtbox, Kid Circus and Mrs Neo Disco Punk with guest Picture Book live before it sets off on its own journey in 2013 hosting 5 Warehouse / Loft parties, first being March 31st 2013 at a Secret East London Loft with a London Exclusive, we welcome from LA our special guest Cole Medina...(Keep em peeled)... Meanwhile......... PICTURE BOOK From being hand picked by Coca Cola to perform at the Olympics with the likes of Mark Ronson, Katy B and Dizzee Rascal to collaborating with a Grammy nominated singer and two of the hottest producers in House Music, Picture Book have had a pretty remarkable year. Brothers Dario Darnell and Lorne Ashley, born in New York City and raised in Manchester, inherited a love of song writing and performing from their father August Darnell (a.k.a Kid Creole from the legendary Kid Creole & The Coconuts). Their first EP, At Last (released Jan 2012), was a collaboration with Grammy nominated vocalist Greta Svabo Bech (vocalist on Deadmau5’s ‘Raise Your Weapon’). Lead single Sunshine, which was produced by Hugo Leclercq, received an unprecedented response all around with specialist plays on Radio 1, XFM, MoS and Kiss as well as spawning a top 10 hype machine hit and was featured on iTunes ‘New and Noteworthy’. The band’s unique show and ‘aLive’ concept, which sees them remix and rework songs on the fly, caught the eye of Coca Cola and they spent the summer re-interpreting Mark Ronson and Katy B’s track ‘Anywhere in The World’ up and down the country for the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay Events, culminating at Hyde Park where they performed to 80,000 people and shared the stage with the likes of The Wanted, Dizzee Rascal and Katy B. Not your average year, not your average band. Picture Book are set to finish 2012 on a high, with the release of their second EP, Songs About Aimee, establishing them as one of the most exciting bands around. Songs About Aimee is out October 15. Expect a diverse selection of new and forward thinking to old school party beats, breaks, disco, DJ’s own re edits tailored made for each event with a heavy dose of sleaze. 9pm – 3am – Free Before 10pm / £5 thereafter ********** PLEASE NOTE THIS IS OUR LAST EVENT TO BE HELD AT BAR MUSIC HALL**********
