Hotflush Records, one of the most innovative and forward-thinking record labels in the world today, made perhaps their grandest statement in releasing the self-titled full-length by Sepalcure, the duo of Travis Stewart (aka Machine Drum) and Praveen Sharma (aka Braille). Awarded "Best New Music" accolades and "Best of 2011" awards, Mmmmaven is proud to bring their stunning live A/V show to Harvard Square's Sinclair with special guest SHLOHMO.
Shlohmo himself is a recent success. His new remix of Jeremih's "F*ck u all the time" garnered over 200,000 plays on SoundCloud in just 21 short days. His Bad Vibes LP and Vacation EP were released on Los Angeles' mighty Friends of Friends label to great acclaim. It's abstract hip-hop tune age at its finest.
On top of this incredible music, the full A/V experience features mind-blowing visuals from visualist Sougwen, a Canadian-born, Chinese-raised, and Brooklyn-based artist who has been featured in The New Yorker, Dazed and Confused and more, including displays cutting-edge festivals like Mutek and Unsound.
