Sam Wallace (aka Samuel W) has been making music from a very young age, but it was after his relocation from rural East Anglia to Leeds that he really got to work and started taking his house and techno seriously; influenced by one of the best and most respected scenes in the UK! He was spending as much time as humanly possible at Mint Club, particularly at its Thursday night event, Teknicolor. He was given a residency at the start of 2012, and this gave him the opportunity to play alongside names like Steve Lawler, Darius Syrossian, Adam Shelton, Subb-An, Clockwork and Robert James (to name a few).
More recently, Sam's tracks have been heavily supported by Leeds' own Darius Syrossian; finding their way onto his VIVa MUSiC Radio podcast, and into his sets all over the world. Two of these tracks (one a collaboration with Jordan Plant - fellow Teknicolor resident) were exclusively signed to VIVa MUSiC and featured on the 2-disc 'VIVa Warriors' mix compilation, by himself and Steve Lawler. The latest release from Sam is an EP on Amsterdam label Carnivale Music, remixes from Michael James & ex-Teknicolor-resident Marshan, as well as from Pieter Bote, the man behind the label's previous release. With plenty of bookings lined up (both at home and abroad) and a lot of support from respected DJs around the world, Sam's future is looking very bright!

INDEPENDENT'S NEW VENUE ANNOUNCEMENT
AS the year draws to a close and Independent have announced that their new home will be literally 20 foot over the road of holmeside (van mildert old shop) We are very excited and have some sensational bookings planned to kick start 2013.
