2012's been a great year for the fledgling musician. He's had a series of excellent releases on Templar Sound, Kerri Chandler's MadTech and Madhouse imprints and London's excellent Love Fever, as well as some high profile gigs at secretsundaze, Red Bull Music Academy & Prince Charles Berlin amongst many others.
Real name Laurence Matthew Blake, Citizen's impressively consistent output is unpretentious and well-tuned; classic 90's inspired low slung music with a modern twist. With emotive chords stabs and bumping bass lines he flirts with deep house's fundamentals, attracting both the purists and new school music lovers. Unsurprisingly his music has crept into many of the top DJ's boxes; check his louche podcast from this year for proof of the guys impressive skills.
2012 has been a great year of parties, with guests including Moodymann, Nicholas Jaar, Craig Richards, Ricardo Villalobos, George fitzgerald, Bicep & many more gracing our decks at both Mint CLub and Mint Warehouse.
