Melting Pot racks up another memorable year and celebrates its 7th Birthday!! Over the previous year there has been the big change of the move from The Riverside Club to our new comfy home at The Admiral. There have been some really great guest performances from the likes of Ashley Beedle, Greg Wilson, Daniele Baldelli to name but three, and the amazing afterhours boat parties in the summer, so here’s to more of the same in 2008!!!
We welcome along a Melting Pot debutant for this Birthday occasion in the form of Optimo’s JD TWITCH. Twitch has built up the sensation that is Optimo over the past 10 years with DJ partner JG Wilkes; with many a memorable Sunday night session down at the Sub Club. The musical policy is one of anything goes, so it was about time we let Twitch loose at Melting Pot. This is going to be a special “Go Disco Set” where there should be some cheeky personal disco re-edits getting an airing, with the scope to play whatever he feels will rock the MP dancefloor. After seeing him playing a similar set at Indian Summer a couple of years ago – we have no doubt we are all going to be in for a musical treat!
Expect the finest underground disco, with some house, techno, soul, funk, and anything else thrown in for good measure!
Not only will downstairs in the hold be rocking, but upstairs we bring together Traxx and Sunday Circus DJs to kick off where they left off after the fantastic Traxx Christmas party.
