MONGO St Stephens Day Special
First off, a massive thank you to everyone who dressed up, danced and made Mongo’s Halloween party such an overwhelming success in October! Over 800 of you made it through the doors of The Grand Social throughout the day which resulted in there being a truly amazing atmosphere throughout the day. Thank you!!
So, as we look to wrap up another year of unforgettable parties, we’re back in The Grand Social for our annual Christmas event taking place St Stephen's Day where we welcome an array of friends, family and followers for another all day party like no other in the capital this Christmas. With a festive selection box of treats in store expect all the usual antics taking place over two floors. With the always blissed out Ballroom & newly soundproofed Loft we also welcome back music in the bar from an all star cast. With the huge success of our "Halloween House of horrors", we thought we would continue the fun and introduce "Santas Litttle Mongo Grotto" in the garden, there will be movies, decor and lots of surprises throughout the day, who knows you might even get a present on your way in the door!
On the music front, we have welcomed back the best of local talent for the second year running to make it a real family affair. Upstairs in The Loft sees a tougher, techno based line up with a headline set from Irish techno legend and X-Factor super fan Giles ‘Papa’ Armstrong. He’ll be joined by MONGO resident Al Keegan, local hero Lorcan Mak & Jay Grogan amongst others! Downstairs in The Ballroom we keep it House music all night long - Say what!? With MONGO resident Aaron Nolan on headline duties, Resident Advisors Saoirse Ryan makes a trip to the homeland from London, Animal Tunes head honcho Citizen Black & a whole host of others also come together for the festivities. The Bar line up includes an array of party favorites playing Disco, Oldskool & Mash up Mayhem compliments from the likes of Dave Salacious, Conor Feeney, Fintan Lalor,+ many more.
So, come one, come all and unwrap the best present a boy or girl, good or bad could get this Christmas - a jolly good party and a ho ho whole lot of fun guaranteed!! With Santas Little Mongo Grotto in the smoking area it's the perfect Christmas getaway from the hum drum of that awkward family gathering! But fear not, you won't miss any of your favorite Xmas films as they will be on show throughout the day and with Santa on site you may even get a present from one of his little helpers :)
To top it all off there will be all the usual drink promos on offer throughout the day! Doors open from 5pm til 3am. Our last party sold out by 10.30pm so please, please arrive early to avoid disappointment.
Once again, we’d like to thank you all for your continued support over the past two years, without your support these amazing parties and events simply wouldn't be possible, for that we are hugely grateful! We would like to wish you all a very happy Xmas and a here's to another great year ahead! Now... Lets make Stephens Day another one to remember!
